""Important Notice impacting 2026 Personal Property Declaration Filing""
Dear Friends and Business Associates:
I am writing to share an important update regarding our personal property
declaration filing service. After 21 years of assisting you with your annual
filings, I must declare a Force Majeure for the 2026 filing year.
I was recently notified by the Assessor’s Association that all Assessors are
now directed to use only state‑prescribed forms pursuant to CGS §12‑4. The
notice further states: “Failure on the taxpayer to utilize state prescribed
forms should be treated in the same manner you administer their failure to file
any other local or state forms. No modifications or alterations to any part…are
permitted.” Because of this mandate, our filing service can no longer be
used.
Since we are legally unable to honor our commitment to carry forward your data and
prepare it in a usable format, we will be issuing full refunds
for all 2026 filing payments. Refunds will be mailed to the address listed on
your paid invoice. If you paid online through PayPal, please email admin@cttfb.com
with your User Name and payment details so we can process your refund promptly.
For your convenience, following is the link to the Assessors Association's Resource page where you will find the appropriate forms: "Personal Property".
Thank you for your trust and friendship over the years. It has been a
privilege to serve you.
Sincerely,
Harry R. Mottram
